CWESS Board of Directors
Circle of Wisdom Elders Seniors Society(CWESS) has 60 % Indigenous Board Members, moving to 70 % Indigenous and represent Calgary and area Urban main geographic areas.
The Board serves as a policy-making governance Board. The CWESS team is responsible for day-to-day operations and programs of the organization. Approximately 100% of CWESS staff identify as Indigenous.
The Okmawiskwew (CEO) Circle of Wisdom Elders Senior Centre is responsible for the overall operations of CWESS.
Circle of Wisdom Elders & Seniors Centre, serving Calgary and area Indigenous seniors in several areas to support them in advocacy, supporting traditional teachings, traditional ceremonies, basic need referrals, interpersonal relationships development to decrease isolation, encourage community engagement through this global crisis.
